Speightstown

The second largest town in Barbados, just twelve miles up the west coast from Bridgetown. There had been a synagogue in Speightstown, but in 1739 local Christians burnt it to the ground. The brother-in-law of Hannah Esther Lopez was once the Hazan of Speightstown. You can see his gravestone here.
