The neighborhood on the western side of Willemstad. There was a synagogue here in the eighteenth century called “Neveh Shalom” for the Jews who lived here and couldn’t cross the channel on the sabbath to get to the Snoa. Today there is a bridge that people can walk across. The name means “the other side.”
