(1792-1855) Like his sister Sarah Rodrigues Brandon, Isaac began his life enslaved by the Lopez family in Barbados. When he was nine, his father Abraham Rodrigues Brandon paid to have him freed. As an adult, he took part in the struggle to get the right for Jews to vote on the island.
