A Jewish holiday sometimes referred to as “the Feast of Weeks” or Pentecost in English. Occurs fifty days (7 weeks + one day) after the second day of Passover. Celebrates the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai. The first rabbinical sermon published in North America was given on this holiday by Isaac Karigal.
